  1. Yes, Dr. Kendrick, the political climate coming out of Washington, D.C., feels more chaotic than ever. With so much happening on every front—whether it’s extreme partisanship, divisive rhetoric, or decisions that seem to favor certain groups over the greater good—it’s easy to feel like the system is broken. But in times like these, as you reminded us in your writing above, it’s more important than ever for us to stand up and make our voices heard. We must demand accountability, transparency, and responsibility from our leaders. The future of our country and the well-being of its citizens depend on us pushing back against policies and actions that don’t serve the common good. Whether through voting, activism, or simply speaking out, it’s crucial to stay engaged and involved to ensure that the craziness doesn’t define the direction of our nation. Thank you for the reminders!

    • Exactly. The future of our country depends on those willing to speak up, push back, and demand accountability. I am grateful for voices like yours that refuse to be silent.

  2. We are called to the moment, even as we try to look away, not wanting to believe what we have heard, having seen more than we can stomach. Our President Trumpeting childish humiliation on national television, berating Ukrainian President Zelensky. At our public expense. I wondered if we were viewing a Saturday Night comedy. I only wish. The dark and nightmarish comedy of this President’s moment is that we are called to neither laugh nor clap. Nor simply walk away from that moment. And so much more disbelief framed in putrid public stench, as we try to separate ourselves once more from the disgrace in our highest office. We are simply called to point out the offense. Clearly and without apology.
